Who We Are
A collection of business owners who volunteer their time to strengthen the identity and economy of our district. Here, 500+ business owners and their teams roll up their sleeves and greet you with a smile and a solution.
We support district businesses and members through monthly business mixers, networking events, district tours, newsletter and digital passport.
Where is Midway
Midway covers 12 square miles of neighborhoods and includes more than 500 businesses. The District is bounded by I-205, Gresham, Market St. and Foster.
Head east off I-205 at Division or Powell and you’re in Midway — one of the largest business districts in Portland. Stretching from I-205 to the Gresham border and Market St. south to Foster, Midway is home to over 35,000 people. Named for its central location “mid-way” between many of the region’s amenities, we boast easy access to downtown Portland, the Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood and much more.

The Midway District is culturally diverse neighborhood located in the heart of SE Portland. The restaurants, International food stores, residents and business owners hail from various countries sharing love and passion for cuisine.

What are the responsibilities of board members you ask?
- Our board members volunteer 5-8 hours a month to attend board meetings, serve on a committee and attend and volunteer at one of our special events such as Monthly Mixers and Signature Events.
- Be part of our events that feature local businesses and introduce new customers to your business. We collaborate with various organizations to produce events and reach a wider audience.
- MBA is part of Venture Portland, an organization that connects PDX business districts and provides access to city-wide events, grants and other opportunities across the city for our members!
The Benefits of Becoming a Member!
Membership is open to all businesses who are located, or do business, in our large district. Our membership year is January – December 31st and accepted any time. See below for a full list of member benefits and payment methods.
